“Hello there, I’m Sally Maria Courson Summers—a writer who finds inspiration in the quiet corners of life and the depths of human experience. Originally from Alaska and now nestled amidst the lush landscapes of Costa Rica with my mother, I’ve been fortunate to lead a life filled with diverse adventures and meaningful connections.
My academic journey has taken me from Spain, where I earned a master’s degree in Psychology, to Florida, where I completed my Ph.D. in Parapsychology. These studies have not only broadened my understanding of the human mind but also provided a solid foundation for my storytelling.
As a grandmother, mother, daughter, and widow, I’ve found that the most profound stories often emerge from the tapestry of personal relationships and life’s twists and turns. It’s these experiences that shape my writing, infusing it with authenticity and depth.
My passion lies in crafting children’s literature that speaks to the heart while gently imparting important life lessons. I believe in the power of storytelling to spark curiosity and nurture empathy in young minds, and it’s a responsibility I hold dear. When I’m not lost in the world of words, you’ll find me in the company of my two loyal companions, Mina and Molly, exploring the beauty of Costa Rica or indulging in creative pursuits.
